International conference on the first anniversary of Shusha Declaration convenes in Shusha
The international conference on “Azerbaijan-Turkiye strategic alliance – a source of peace and stability for the Caucasus and the region”, dedicated to the first anniversary of the Shusha Declaration has started in the city of Shusha.
The event is attended by Adalat Valiyev, head of the Presidential Administration's Department for Relations with Political Parties and Legislative Authority, Tahir Budagov, Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), Aydin Karimov, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Shusha district, Inam Karimov, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Agriculture, Anar Karimov, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Culture, Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, Binali Yildirim, Chairman of Council of Elders of the Organization of the Turkic States and Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Vahit Kirisci, Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ismet Buyukataman, Secretary-General of the Nationalist Movement Party, as well as heads of nearly 40 political parties in Azerbaijan.
The conference opened with the performance of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkiye, and a minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of Azerbaijani and Turkish martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and independence of both countries.
A documentary highlighting the first anniversary of the Shusha Declaration was screened.
Head of the Presidential Administration's Department for Relations with Political Parties and Legislative Authority Adalat Valiyev read out President of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyev`s address to the conference participants.
The event will also feature panel discussions.

A városok világfóruma május 17–22. között kerül megrendezésre Bakuban „Lakhatás mindenkinek” mottóval.
A Városok Világfóruma (WUF) egy magas szintű konferencia, amelyen a gyors és gyakran nem tervezett urbanizációval, az éghajlatváltozással és a növekvő egyenlőtlenségekkel kapcsolatos kulcsfontosságú kihívásokat vitatják meg – számol be a Toppress az „AZERTAJ” hírügynökségre hivatkozva.
A fórumot az ENSZ hozta létre 2001-ben, és az UN-Habitat égisze alatt rendezik meg. Az első fórumot 2002-ben tartották Nairobiban.
A Városok Világfórumának 13. ülésszakára (WUF13) 2026. május 17–22. között kerül sor Bakuban. A WUF13 témája: „Lakhatás mindenkinek: biztonságos és fenntartható városok és települések”. A fórumon állami vezetők, nemzetközi szervezetek képviselői, valamint az építészet, a várostervezés és a fenntartható fejlődés szakértői vesznek részt.
A WUF13 bakui megrendezése Azerbajdzsán és az ENSZ, valamint az UN-Habitat közötti együttműködés eredménye. A vonatkozó megállapodást 2023. december 22-én írták alá, majd 2024 márciusában hagyta jóvá Azerbajdzsán elnöke, Ilham Aliyev. A fórum nemzeti koordinátorává az Állami Várostervezési és Építészeti Bizottság elnökét, Anar Guliyev nevezték ki.
A fórum fontos nemzetközi platformot jelent Azerbajdzsán számára, hogy bemutassa eredményeit a városfejlesztés, a terület-helyreállítás és a fenntartható fejlődés terén. A WUF13 bakui megrendezése emellett lehetőséget teremt a nemzetközi partnerségek bővítésére a városirányítás, az éghajlati ellenálló képesség és a biztonságos városi környezet kialakítása területén.
